Function and characteristics of temperature measuring rod
This product is suitable for rapid measurement of the temperature of molten steel, iron, copper, aluminum, and other metals during various metal smelting and casting processes.
Quick thermocouples are disposable consumable thermocouples used to measure the temperature of molten steel and high-temperature molten metals. The working principle of silicon manganese alloy is to measure the temperature of molten steel and high-temperature solution metal by using the temperature difference generated at both ends of the metal according to the Thermoelectric effect of the metal.
The structure of a fast thermocouple mainly consists of a temperature measuring thermocouple head and a large paper tube. The couple head mainly consists of positive and negative couple wires welded onto the compensation wire, which is embedded in the bracket. The bracket is covered with a small paper tube, and the couple wires are supported and protected by quartz. The outermost part is equipped with an anti slag cap, and all components are concentrated in the mud head and glued together with a fire-resistant filling agent, which is not detachable and is therefore disposable. In order to ensure the reliable and stable operation of the thermocouple, the structural requirements are as follows:
1. The welding of the two thermoelectric electrodes that make up the fast thermocouple must be firm
2. The two thermoelectric electrodes should be well insulated from each other to prevent short circuits
3. The connection between the compensation wire and the free end of the thermocouple should be convenient and reliable
4. The protective sleeve should ensure sufficient isolation between the thermoelectric electrode and harmful media
Usage:
1. Select appropriate protective paper tube lengths and suitable temperature measuring guns based on the measurement object and range.
2. Install the fast thermocouple on the temperature measuring gun and reset the secondary instrument pointer (or digital display) to zero, indicating good contact and ready for measurement.
3. The recommended depth for inserting a fast thermocouple into the molten steel is 300-400mm. When measuring, do not measure it on the furnace wall or slag, and ensure that it is fast, stable, and accurate. When the secondary instrument obtains the results, the gun should be immediately lifted. The immersion time of the fast thermocouple in the molten steel should not exceed 5 seconds, otherwise it is easy to burn the temperature measuring gun.
4. After the temperature measuring gun is removed from the furnace, remove the used thermocouple and install a new one. Pause for a few minutes to prepare for the next measurement. It is not allowed to measure and disassemble continuously, otherwise it will cause temperature fluctuations.
